The Division for Small Business helps New York State firms with 100 or fewer employees by developing programs, providing advocacy services for small businesses, offering red-tape cutting ombudsman assistance, and helping businesses learn about opportunities to sell their products and services to state government. The Division publishes a guidebook for entrepreneurs entitled Your Business, an Activity Calendar listing training events for each region of the state and the Contract Reporter.
