The Division for Small Business helps New York State firms with 100 or fewer employees by developing programs, providing advocacy services for small businesses, offering red-tape cutting ombudsman assistance, and helping businesses learn about opportunities to sell their products and services to state government. The Division publishes a guidebook for entrepreneurs entitled Your Business, an Activity Calendar listing training events for each region of the state and the Contract Reporter. This weekly newsletter lists hundreds of bid opportunities with state agencies and public authorities.
