The Friends of the North Country, Inc. is a 20-year-old community based not-for-profit and Rural Preservation Company. Friends is dedicated to increasing the economic and social viability of rural communities through planned development, resource protection, and grassroots community advocacy. Friends has raised over 25 million dollars for programs and projects throughout the Adirondack/North Country Region and has collaborated with local governments, private sector interests and other not-for-profit organizations to meet their mutual interest and goals.
